What To Expect From a Foot Zone

After a foot zone treatment most people will feel very relaxed, and a great release of stress. They may feel that their body feels more in balance allowing the body as a whole to have a more perfect state of homeostasis.

Most Foot Zone Therapists are not from the medical field and can not diagnose or prescribe. I believe in treating the body as a whole and not treating specific diseases or problems. Although I cannot claim direct healing effects and cures, I have seen remarkable results during or after the treatment.

There have been many people that have experienced remarkable relief from common ailments such as headaches, back pain, digestive and sleep disorders, depression, auto immune failure, the common cold/flu, stress, and many other health problems.

Does a Foot Zone Balance hurt?

When the signals in the feet are shut down, it is my job to attempt to open them back up. Most people will feel a direct pressure or a slight burning were the work is being done if that signal is shut down.

In many cases for every one signal that is closed there are several others that are fine. Some people will feel nothing at all and say it feels like a soothing foot rub, other will feel everything and say it is NOT a foot rub.

As soon as I move off of the signal the pressure or pain goes away. In almost every case when the Foot Zone treatment is done, there is no pain, only relaxation and a tingly feeling that goes through the whole body.

So to answer the question: Does it hurt? It may, or it may not.

For me, I have found that every Foot Zone is different and every individual is different. The issues may show up on the first zone or several zones later. It is like peeling an onion. Every time you get worked on, you get to a new layer!

My purpose is to not kill you with pain; it is to allow your body to heal. I work directly with you and communicate throughout the treatment to determine the level of pressure that is right for you.

How long does a Foot Zone take?

The first Foot Zone Balance session should take between an hour to 1 1/2 hours. After that 45 minutes to an hour should be normal.

The size of your feet do influence the time it takes as well as how open the signals are on your feet. For example, children with smaller feet take less time because of their size and general overall health.

Could I have any side effects after a Foot Zone?

I have never seen any BAD side effects!

Similar to a massage or other body work there are several health responses that may occur:

  • Some clients feel energized with more vitality.
  • Change in sleep patterns – sleep becomes deeper and calmer or dreams become more active.
  • Tiredness – the body responds by needing more sleep so it can rest and repair.
  • Emotional or psychological releases may result in crying.
  • A more active digestive system.
  • Increased skin activity and or perspiration.
  • More clarity of thought.
  • Release of stress and feeling more in balance.
  • Frequent urination and or detoxification.

Most people find it helpful to flush their system by drinking a lot of water after a session.

Can a Foot Zone help with my emotions?

During a Foot Zone Balance treatment, we are treating all 4 parts of the body. It is believed that the signal system is a connecting link between the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. It is also understood that the Foot Zone treats the endocrine system of the body, allowing the hormonal system to become more balanced.

Emotional release is common; the Foot Zone combined with energy work is one of the best ways to put our bodies back into balance

Many times we just need some TLC or someone to just listen.

Accessing the physical body through the Zone is the easiest.

The emotional, mental and spiritual bodies are truly controlled by the subconscious mind of the client. If you do not want emotions released, they will not be. If you want a more complete zone and seek emotional balance, you may find it.

How often should I be zoned?

Truly, this is up to you and how you feel after. I always say to my clients: “Listen to your heart and body; you will know when you need another treatment.” What this means is that you know how your body feels and how the Foot Zone affected you.

I do not prescribe or recommend any set treatment.

I have clients that benefit greatly from being zoned once every month while others feel it necessary to be zoned as often as every 4 to 8 days. This really depends on what you are trying to accomplish with the treatments.

Do you use tools during a Foot Zone treatment?

I do not use tools during a Foot Zone treatment. Only my hands are used, mostly the thumbs and the knuckles on the fingers. This allows me to feel the signals on the feet.

I do use a natural cream and essential oils on your feet but can do the zone without them if you wish.

Who should not be zoned?

The few that cannot be Zoned are those with organ or tissue transplants, not-attached foreign objects in the body, pacemakers, and/or recent surgeries. This is because as the signal system is activated, it indicates to the body to return to its original DNA status and to discard any foreign objects from the body. That being said, there are always exceptions to the rules. We have found energy work combined with the Foot Zone allows your body to be more accepting of the changes in your body.
